But the fun isn’t just for the adults to enjoy, with family-friendly activities throughout and lots of familiar characters for the kids to meet!
And there's plenty of nostalgia with archival displays that tell the history of the ABC in Tasmania.
We're also celebrating the launch of the 38th ABC Giving Tree Appeal, you'll be able to take your photo in front of the giant Christmas Tree, 2027 Weather Calendars will be available to purchase, and attendees are welcome to bring along an unwrapped gift to place under the tree.
IMPORTANT: For security reasons, when registering for tickets, you are required to enter the names of all attendees you are redeeming tickets for. Failing to do so may mean your tickets will be cancelled.
Names not registered will not be able to enter the building. ID will be required for all attendees 18+ (e.g., credit/debit card, Medicare card, or government-issued ID).

Tickets are free but booking is essential!
- Do children require a ticket?
Yes, children need their own ticket.
Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Is the event accessible?
Our tours are fully accessible, please let us know of any accommodations needed when booking your tickets.
- If I want to donate a gift, what should I bring?
All gifts are appreciated, however our charities partners have told us that gifts for teenagers and older adults are in demand this year.
Items like gift vouchers, and personal care items are always welcome.
Please make sure gifts are unwrapped.
Financial donations allow our charity partners to give their clients the dignity of choice to make sure they have a special Christmas.
- Is parking available onsite?
No, parking is not available onsite. Should you require accessible parking, please let us know when booking your tickets.
Closest multilevel parking at Argyle Street Car Park, with access to the ABC via Liverpool Street and the Fountain roundabout pedestrian underpass.
- Are there any restrictions?
Avoid bringing big bags because they’ll need to be cloaked.
No food or drink is allowed inside allowed past reception.
No smoking is allowed in ABC Hobart Buildings and/or grounds.
