ABI Professional Workshop
Event description
Did you know that Guide Dogs Victoria provides tailored, multidisciplinary support to people with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), from early recovery through to long-term community reintegration?
We invite you to our Kew Campus to learn more about how your referrals can make a practical difference in the lives of people with ABI. You’ll gain insight into how we work collaboratively with clients, families, and other providers to deliver holistic, person-centred rehabilitation that promotes independence, confidence, and wellbeing.
Our specialised ABI services support individuals at various stages, from navigating the challenges of early recovery, to regaining independence in mobility and daily living, to re-engaging in meaningful activities like work, study, or community participation. You’ll also learn how our multidisciplinary team, including Orientation and Mobility Specialists, Occupational Therapists, Orthoptists, and Assistive Technology experts work together to meet each client’s unique goals.
While the focus of this session is ABI, you’ll also hear how we support people across the lifespan, from infants and children developing foundational skills, to older adults adjusting to changing vision and life circumstances.
This is an opportunity to connect with our experienced team, tour our purpose-built facilities, and discover how your referrals can open the door to greater independence and quality of life for the people you support.
When: Wednesday 5th November 3:00pm-5:00pm.
Where: Guide Dogs Victoria (Conference Room)
RSVP: By 28th October
