Event description

Work alongside fellow Indigenous alum to create an artwork which will represent the visual identity of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander alumni community.

Newcastle-based artist and Indigenous alumna Ms Nicole Chaffey will facilitate two art workshops back-to-back to enable families with children to attend the earlier session, and capture a generational theme in the artwork. However, families are welcome to come along for either session.

Coinciding with NAIDOC week, the workshops will provide an opportunity to come together with fellow members of our community to celebrate and reflect on what being an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander alumni, of the University of Newcastle means to you.

Workshop 1 will commence at 4:30pm and will be a great opportunity for all the kids to get involved.

From 5:30pm food and drinks will be provided as well as opportunities for discussion and socialising.

Workshop 2 will commence at 6pm providing time for further alumni participation and contribution.
