This is a 14-hour course held over 2 days from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Who can attend this course?Â
Any Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous adults
can attend.

About 1 in 4 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people experience a common mental illness each year. Mental Health First Aid training will teach you practical skills to support a person with a mental health problem. Make a real difference to the people in your community.Â
Research has found this course to be effective and culturally appropriate, empowering Aboriginal people and providing information that is highly relevant in assisting Aboriginal people experiencing mental health problems.
This course is based on guidelines developed through the expert consensus of Aboriginal people with lived experience of mental health problems and professionals.

- Aggressive behaviours.
