Explore Aboriginal agricultural practices, walk across the land according to the Aboriginal six seasons and share big food resources. Learn about different native food and medicine plants. Sample different bush tucker fruits, nuts, seeds, herbs and leaves. Then try some savoury and sweet bush tucker dishes. Dietary requirements can be met. Please advise when you book.
About the presenter, Dale Tilbrook
A Wardandi Bibbulmun woman whose traditional Aboriginal country is the Margaret River, Busselton area.
Having spent many years gathering knowledge from her elders and other sources, Dale is often called on to talk about bush food, which she loves presenting and encouraging people to incorporate into their everyday cooking.
Dale: “Educating the world about Australian native edibles is an important part of my cultural journey. Being part of the local tourism community gives context. I have represented the Swan Valley region at international food forums in Italy, Spain and Singapore.”
