Connect to Nature in the Greener Wilder West!

You are invited to drop in and join a weaving circle to experience how to make baskets and bracelets. Connect with culture, community and family, and weave with Ngiyampaa and Guringai artist Tarni Eastwood as she passes down her knowledge on traditional and contemporary Aboriginal weaving techniques.

Tarnie Eastwood. Tarni Eastwood is a Ngiyampaa and Guringai multidisciplinary artist and curator based in Western Sydney. She actively facilitates weaving workshops with community to contribute to the ongoing revitalisation of traditional cultural practices.

Please note: This program is for families with children 8+years. The workshop takes place on the ground - feel free to bring a folding chair if you or those with you cannot sit on the ground.

This workshop has been organised in collaboration with Blacktown Arts .

We reserve the right to cancel the event in case of dangerous weather or if minimum participation numbers are not met. In these circumstances a refund will be offered.

Do not attend our programs, if

You show any COVID-19 symptoms or feel unwell
You have returned a positive Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) or Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test
You have been asked to self-isolate
