Event description

Sit with Aboriginal Elders to learn the traditional practice of basket weaving. Take home your own basket to keep, and enjoy bush tucker morning tea.

Suitable for all ages. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. All attendees require a ticket.

Southern Cultural Immersion (SCI) is a Kaurna owned and operated business striving to promote and nurture reconciliation and cultural respect towards First Nations people within Australia. Working in partnership with government agencies, community organisations, the corporate sector, educators, and individuals, our goal is to create positive outcomes and a shared vision for a reconciled Australia.

We employ majority Aboriginal staff. A percentage of our profits are donated to the Kaurna Meyunna Trust.

Cultural training, community engagement, art and cultural workshops and cultural tours are all fundamental aspects of the broad portfolio of services provided by SCI.
