ABSTRACT - Sketch & Sip

Hello Superstars!

Are you craving creativity? Do you desire delicious drinks? Come join us for a new amazing event open every Monday at The iconic Red Rattler Theatre from 7 pm to 9 pm (bar open afterwards as well until 11 pm) for a fantastic opportunity to express yourself in the exciting world of ABSTRACT art!

Here's how it goes! SKETCH & SIP is on its way

At 7pm, you grab a drink at the bar and find yourself a comfy seat to SIP.

At 7:30 pm, your fabulous host welcomes you and opens the night by setting up various ABSTRACT scenarios for you to SKETCH in whatever medium makes your heart sing.

"OH BUT RED RATTLER... I AM NO ARTIST! AM I WELCOME? WILL I STILL ENJOY THIS?"

Oh, beautiful stranger, of course! I am glad you asked... your host will be there to make you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in. The point of the night is simply to have the best time and see where your creativity takes you. We will be there to support, help, guide, and nurture. Also, never forget that you are already amazing and that art is in the eye of the beholder, especially with fabulous ABSTRACT art!

We will provide base art materials, but if you want some extra oomph, feel free to bring your magic. The great thing is that all work created in this workshop is YOURS that you are free to enjoy, hang, exhibit, or even sell as they will be fully imagined and created by you! We know that SIP also helps to unleash your hidden artist, so The fabulous Red Rattler bar will have beers, wines, and cocktails available to enjoy from 7-11 pm. Please note it will be cash only.

WHO IS WELCOME?

EVERYONE OVER 18! The Red Rattler is a Queer Art Performance Theatre, and we invite all of our LGBTQI friends and family to come and embrace your inner spark. We love you :) BRING YOUR BESTIES, FAMILY, NEIGHBOURS, FRENEMIES, DATES, ETC!

Starting on March 1st, every Monday at 7 pm.

WHERE IS IT?

The Red Rattler Theatre, 6 Faversham Street, Marrickville. There is tons of free parking on all the streets close by. It is only 8 min walk away from Sydenham Station. The venue is just behind Marrickville Bowlo, a few doors from the service station.

TICKETS ARE 20$+GST online, and the ticketing is always open:) Please buy your tickets ahead of time to help us easily plan the material needed but don't worry; we will have extras. Tickets at the door will be 30$.
