About the workshop:

Dive into experimental drawing with this workshop focused on abstract art, emotional energy, and creative freedom. Teens will explore gesture, pattern, and repetition to build layered artworks that reflect mood, movement, and identity.

About the facilitator:

Natalia Bennett is a Tasmanian-based visual artist and illustrator whose work blends bold colour, natural forms, and symbolic storytelling. With a background in fine art, design, and illustration, her practice spans murals, exhibitions, and community workshops across the state. Natalia’s work often centres on stillness, connection to place, and the stories of endangered species — combining expressive linework with educational and emotional depth. She’s passionate about creating safe, supportive creative spaces for young people to explore identity, emotion, and imagination.

About Louie:

Louie is Natalia's service dog. He will be helping Natalia out on the day, Louie is very gentle and friendly. If you have any questions email info@kickstart.org.au.
