Abstract Painting Workshop

Join your tutor Laura Hewetson and discover the process and technique behind creating wonderfully rich and layered abstract art work.

Abstract art is more than throwing paint onto a surface and hoping for the best (although, throwing paint IS fun!), and instead looking at colouring, building of layers, composition and thoughtfulness. 

Students will have a variety of paint colours to use and will explore tone and compliment to create a gorgeous colour palette that speaks to them.

We will also look at details and adding effects through other mediums such as pastels, ink and watercolours. 

This is sure to be a fun filled class, where students will walk away with their own masterpiece!

Suitable for ages 16+ of any artistic skill or experience!

All materials provided.
(If you have a canvas or panel of a specific size that you would like to paint you are welcome to bring that along)
