Wintering In

As winter settles around us and the season invites us inward, join us for an evening of returning to yourself.

In nature, winter is not a time of absence it is a season of restoration. Beneath the surface, roots deepen, the earth gathers its energy and life prepares for what is yet to come. We too are invited into this sacred rhythm.

Wintering In is an opportunity to slow down, soften and reconnect with your body through movement, music and community.

Together, we’ll journey through a nourishing 90-minute somatic dance experience guided by our somatic movement facilitators. Through gentle invitation, embodied exploration, and free movement, we’ll release what no longer needs to be carried, regulate the nervous system and reconnect to the innate wisdom within.

This is more than a dance class. It’s a space to move without performance, to feel without judgement, and to remember that we were never meant to navigate the darker seasons alone.

Our rotating dance floor gatherings are a unique community experience in Hawke’s Bay, created to bring people together through conscious movement, authentic expression and meaningful connection.

No dance experience needed.  No choreography.  No alcohol or drugs.  Just movement, music, intention and presence.

Open to women and men alike; come exactly as you are, with an open heart, open mind and open arms.

What to Expect

Please Bring

● Water bottle (come hydrated)

● Cushion, blanket, or little nest to get cosy

● Comfortable clothes to move in

Important Details

● Please arrive 5–10 minutes before the start time

● Shoes off downstairs before heading up

● Event held upstairs in the Haumoana Hall Pavilion
