ACA-CON: A Two-Night A cappella Concert Event

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

ACA-CON is a two-night a cappella concert event powered by nothing more than the human voice. We are bringing in three dynamic vocal groups to entertain with their booming, bright and electric voices: Aggiepella, Vocalocity and Eclipse 6

Bright lights. Big sound. No instruments.

We are also producing this concert to rally the community to speak out and raise awareness of bullying and shine a light on this important issue affecting our schools and communities. Often it’s the smallest acts of kindness that can have the most impact. It's a moment of support in a time of need, a quiet word of encouragement, a helping hand to carry a heavy load, or even just a smile that says, "I see you," that can make a world of difference.

This year, ACA-CON will be held at the Syracuse Arts Academy Theater in Syracuse, Utah. City Center Sound will be helping bring the stage to life with colorful lights and thumping speakers. Food trucks will be bringing in delicious food and treats! We even have Fiiz coming in!

Please get tickets and help us fill up this amphitheater both nights!

A portion of the concert proceeds will be given to the Syracuse City Arts Council who works to keep the arts alive in Davis County. We are grateful for their help in promoting and supporting these concerts. We'll also be donating a portion of the proceeds to Stand4Kind—an amazing non-profit organization working with schools in Utah to create a culture where kindness rules. They have been instrumental in helping us find sponsors to make Aca-Con happen!

We are going all out to make this an incredible, don't wanna miss it kinda night! Get your tickets now and reserve your seat for an aca-awesome event!

Learn more about this year's vocal groups:

Eclipse 6 is an all vocal group creating explosive sound, driving rhythms and lush harmonies using one instrument: the human mouth. Eclipse 6 first received international attention performing at both the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2002 Winter Olympics. This exposure led to numerous tours through Asia and the US. Other impressive credits include appearing at the Provo Stadium of Fire with Toby Keith and Larry King, and opening for Brooks and Dunn, Nellie Furtado, Train, The Piano Guys, and sharing the stage with many more.

Vocalocity is a mixed a cappella group with exquisite harmonies and dynamic beats that blend together to create a fun and unique sound. Known for their high-energy performance, Vocalocity covers a wide variety of musical genres. They pride themselves on engaging with their audience and find pure joy in performing for audiences big and small. Recently, Vocalocity was invited to open for former Tonight Show host Jay Leno and Tuacahn Amphitheater in St.George, Utah. They have traveled all over the country bringing a cappella magic to each performance.

Aggiepella is Utah State University’s premiere A Cappella club. Aggiepella was started in 2021 as a senior capstone project, and has grown in size and popularity every semester since. The group is filled with students of various majors and backgrounds with a common passion: singing. Aggiepella performs at events all around Cache Valley, Utah, and is thrilled to help with this charity concert!
