Aca-Pop! Bootcamp / Ages 8-16 / 21st Jan 2025
Love to sing? Join your own vocal pop band these summer holidays, and sing it like you mean it in this ‘Pitch Perfect’ style, full-day bootcamp!
With sessions on harmony, beatboxing, vocal layering, and stagecraft, this hands-on workshop will explore all the different aspects of what it takes to put together a multi-harmony pop cover.
WHAT WILL WE BE DOING?
Throughout our action-packed bootcamp here's an overview of what we'll be getting up to...
- fun vocal warm ups & exercises
- music games & challenges throughout the day
- Session 1: Pop A Cappella basics
- Session 2: Learning our feature song (Pop cover)
- Session 3: Creative sounds - Beatboxing & body-percussion
- Session 4: Layering harmonies
- Session 5: Stagecraft & Performance skills
- Session 6: DIY your own vocal band
To finish the day, we'll deliver a 'Pop Up' performance of the song for parents to come and watch! This will happen 10mins prior to the end of the day.
OTHER KEY INFO:
Please bring a packed lunch, drink bottle, and snacks. We'll have a 40min lunch break, and a couple of snack breaks throughout the day.
During break, children will be able to play outside, so please ensure they have sunscreen and sunhat.
Please note that there is an expectation that students who attend this Bootcamp will bring a positive attitude, and be willing to fully participate throughout the day.
Our team will be on site from 15mins prior to start time, and will be on site for 15mins afterwards. Please ensure your child is dropped off / picked up within these timeframes.
