Introducing our brand new program - Academy Live!
Once a month, come along for this open mic event! Members of our WestWords Academy, alumni and current, will be testing their new poetry and prose on the open mic! Each event will feature a special guest musician and featured guest writer. Members of the public are welcome to come along and hear Western Sydney's rising artists. Drinks and finger food provided.

Featured Author: Zeynab Gamieldien, the inaugural winner of the 2022 Westwords–Ultimo Press Prize, who this month published her debut novel, The Scope of Permissibility. Told through three distinct perspectives, The Scope of Permissibility is a poignant coming-of-age tale that captures the push and pull of expectation and autonomy.
