Climate Change: What you aren't being told
Description
Why was the 2022 IPCC climate change report censored? The full report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change in 2022 was written by scientists and lists both economic growth and human population growth as the major contributors to climate change. Yet this important information was censored from the abbreviated summary report given to world leaders - why? This censorship is also carried through to major international and Australian climate campaign groups and environmental NGOs - why?
Hosted by Sustainable Population Australia (SPA) SA/NT branch.
Sustainable Population Australia want to raise awareness of human population growth's impact on climate change. Without addressing all the root causes of climate change, our efforts to tackle climate change won't be successful.
Hear from former Australian Conservation Foundation President and SPA Patron Professor Ian Lowe via video, and SPA Vice President/SPA Qld Branch President/'Honorary Senior Research Fellow at the University of Queensland/Co-convenor of The Overpopulation Project Dr Jane O'Sullivan live on zoom from Queensland on how we must address global population growth and Australia's population growth if we want to truly tackle climate change.
SPA's Discussion Paper: Population and Climate Change is available to read for free at SPA's website.
Description
Sustainable Population Australia is an Australian environmental charity; a non-partisan, non-racist special advocacy group that seeks to establish an ecologically sustainable human population in Australia and globally. We do this through encouraging informed public debate, education and lobbying.
We also work with a charity in Uganda, Africa who focus on educating locals on the benefits of small families, and provides education and support with family planning.
