Our guest panelists and speakers will cover a wide range of content on public health policies. Attendees are invited to bring policy priorities to the event to workshop ideas and identify action steps you can take to advance the needs of communities you serve. Strategies will be focused on people-centered policymaking, to help ensure that community members whose health and lives are most affected by policies have a voice in the process.

By participating in a day of small-group activities, interactive sessions, and inspiring panel discussions, you’ll gain more knowledge about . . .

• Reading and understanding the law

• Finding opportunities for community-centered policy change with your partners

• Identifying who holds the legal authority needed to create change

During the convening, you’ll develop next steps that you can apply directly to work that serves your community. After the event, you’ll receive a certificate of completion and a resource guide to support your efforts.
