ACCESS COSIMA & Cryosphere Community Workshop
Description
The ACCESS COSIMA & Cryosphere Community Workshop will be held in Nipaluna/Hobart on 16–20 November, 2026.
The workshop is supported by Australia’s climate simulator (ACCESS-NRI), and co-organised by the COSIMA and Cryospheric Sciences Community Working Groups.

Aims
This workshop aims to facilitate community connection and genuine collaboration between the cryospheric sciences and ocean/sea ice modelling and observational communities, by:
building shared knowledge, tools, and workflows, and identifying common scientific questions and goals
providing a forum that is inclusive and welcoming for all, especially students and early career researchers
hosting a range of activities including scientific talks, posters, hackathons, and working group meetings.
