Event description

Curious about the technology and expertise driving climate and weather simulations in Australia? Join us for a mixer event after the Australian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society (AMOS) Conference 2024 Workshop Day, to meet the software and data infrastructure experts behind the national climate and weather modelling.

The Australian Earth System Simulator (ACCESS-NRI) simulates past, present and future climate and weather. This modelling framework supports research and decision-making in Australia and has been specifically designed for the Southern Hemisphere. ACCESS-NRI is enabled by the Australian government through the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS).

This mixer event will start with a 20-minute introduction, including lightening talks from representatives of different areas of the infrastructure. Then you will have the chance to network and engage with our talented team of research software engineers, and learn the benefits of joining the ACCESS Community. 

Food and drinks will be provided.
