Description
AccessHack 2.0: Multi-Institution Team-Based Hackathon
Ready to use your creativity, teamwork and ideas to solve a real-world challenge?
AccessHack is a hands-on, multi-institution innovation challenge where students work together to develop creative solutions to a real-world problem. On the day participants will explore new technologies and approaches, test ideas, prove their concept, and pitch their solution to a panel.
AccessHack 2.0 will take place on Monday 2 November 2026.
This opportunity is open to UC, CIT, and Lake Tuggeranong College students and is designed to be beginner friendly. You do not need to be studying IT or have coding experience to participate. Students from all disciplines are encouraged to get involved, including technology, design, business, communication, psychology, law, criminology, media, community services, social impact and more.
Working in small teams, students will tackle a real-world challenge, explore emerging technologies, develop and test ideas, and create a solution they can showcase. Solutions might include an app mock-up, campaign concept, storyboard, video, prototype, pitch deck or another creative response.
The 2026 challenge statement has been developed in collaboration with the Australian Federal Police (AFP) and will be revealed at the commencement of the program.
During AccessHack 2.0, students will:
