1 in 4 New Zealanders have a physical, sensory, learning, or mental health impairment. People with disabilities make meaningful contributions in our community, but many misperceptions of disability remain.

The world is not designed for disabled people. We all have a role to play in identifying and removing barriers to enable everyone to have choice and control in their lives, and to achieve their goals.

So what would it take to advance a disability-inclusive Aotearoa?

Join us on Wednesday 5th April at the Parnell Community Centre for a kōrero on perceptions about disability, the power of language, intersectionality, and the importance of representation. Hosted by the Social Change Collective, our panel of experts will speak to their own lived experiences and ways forward.

Doors open from 5.45pm, with the panel starting at 6pm. The panel will be facilitated by Tamara Grant and the speakers will be Rafiqah Abdullah and Sun-Min Elle Park.
