What is the Accessible & Inclusive Tourism Conference?
The Accessible & Inclusive Tourism Conference, often referred to as AITCAP, is an annual event that provides all tourism stakeholders (travellers, businesses, policymakers, DMOs) with an opportunity to:
- LEARN how to cater to the valuable accessible & inclusive market to promote sustainable growth
- CONNECT with each other to create momentum and contribute to the upgrowth of the sector all
In 2024 the Accessible & Inclusive Tourism Conference is proudly supported by the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, the City of Melbourne and the Victoria Tourism Industry Council (VTIC).
What happens at the Accessible & Inclusive Tourism Conference?
We will have:
- Learning sessions with experts in the field
- Networking opportunities with all our peers
- Accessibility & Business hub where organisations will showcase their products and services
Conference timings:
Arrive at 8am to register, network and enjoy breakfast canapes, tea and coffee.
Conference will officially start at 9am and conclude at 5.30pm
Networking drinks and canapes will be held between 5.30pm to 6.30pm
The ticket includes:
- breakfast canapes
- lunch
- afternoon tea
- networking function drinks and canapes.
The topics will include:
- Accessibility information – what should you include and how to make sure it's accessible
- Codesigning accessibility to ensure success – the what, why and how of codesigning with people with disability
- Inclusive marketing – how best to ensure authentic disability representation in your marketing and market to this large and growing segment
- Q&A with travellers with disabilities.
Is the event itself accessible and inclusive?
That's our goal of course! In the process of getting your tickets, you will be able to share any access requirements you have so that we can plan to accommodate them. We will do our best to make this event as accessible as we can and showcase the work our partners are doing to deliver a truly inclusive event.
