Did you know 44% of Australians have low English literacy?

Following on from the Modified Service Delivery project workshops where we explore the need for accessible information, Patricia Giles Centre for Non-Violence has partnered with Scope to offer Accessible Information training.

Drawing on accessibility best practices, this training shows you how to make your written information easy to read and understand. You will learn how to produce accessible formats such as plain language and Easy Read.

By the end of the training, participants will be able to answer the following questions:

What is the difference between plain language and Easy English?
Who benefits from plain language and Easy English?
When should I write plain language and Easy English?
How do I write plain language and
Easy English documents?
How do I select images for Easy English?
How can I distribute Easy English?

The workshop will be facilitated by Scope. Morning tea and lunch will be provided. Please ensure that you provide your dietary requirements.
