Event description

Join the Accordion Society of Australia’s celebration of the instrument one truly straps to the heart. The ASA Festival 2025 will present the accordion as an international instrument that brings together the music of dance, folk traditions, and contemporary music as well as celebrating culture, community, identity and belonging.

Come and see bands Gusto Gusto, The Stiletto Sisters and Tango Mundo along with accordion ensembles ASAVO, Prahran Accordion Band and Hills Accord. This year’s accordion workshops will feature Lucy Riddett, Phil Carroll and George Burtumlis along with a masterclass with Anthony Schulz, an Alexander Technique for accordionists with Ann Shoebridge and an accordion repair workshop with Guy Bellman.   

We will also have an expanded 'Accordion Corner' where you can try out different accordions, purchase and instrument, buy second hand sheet music books, and a jam session/social meet up! For more information, go to https://www.accordionsaustralia.com/events/festival-2025
