ACDAN Symposium 2026 'Culture grounds us, connection heals us'
Description
The ACDAN Symposium 2026 brings together Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander AOD workers, community leaders, and sector partners for a two-day gathering centered on strengthening the workforce through culture, connection, and shared learning. Grounded in Aboriginal ways of knowing, being, and doing, this year’s theme “Culture grounds us, connection heals us” highlights the importance of cultural strength, community-led approaches, and relational practice in supporting healing.
Across keynote presentations, workshops, yarning circles, and networking opportunities, the symposium provides a culturally safe space to share knowledge, build capability, and explore innovative approaches in alcohol and other drug practice. Delegates will connect, reflect, and contribute to strengthening Aboriginal-led responses and shaping the future of AOD service delivery across NSW and beyond.
