ACE for Communication Success is free to all Adelaide University students by coursework seeking to practise communicating in English in different academic settings.

The course is offered on campus, in person, and sessions run for 50 minutes.

This workshop focuses on the skills and language for participating in, managing, and leading academic discussions.

It includes:

identifying barriers to participating in discussions during tutorials and ways to overcome them
discovering new ways to introduce topics for discussion
applying strategies for changing the topic during discussions
learning the difference between interrupting and interjecting
learning common phrases for participating in discussions
applying the skills and language learnt in practice discussions

*All ACE workshops include interactive tasks to practise the focus skills
