ACE for Communication Success: Active Listening Skills

ACE for Communication Success is free to all Adelaide University students by coursework seeking to practise communicating in English in different academic settings. 

The course is offered on campus, in person, and sessions run for 50 minutes.

This workshop focuses on active listening and note-taking techniques to enhance comprehension and engagement in lectures.

Topics covered include:

• how to prepare before a lecture, stay attentive during the lecture and review content after the lecture

• how to take notes faster using symbols and abbreviations

• putting listening skills into practice with an activity 

• tips for learning new vocabulary
