ACE for Communication Success: Communicate at University

ACE for Communication Success is free to all Adelaide University students by coursework seeking to practise communicating in English in different academic settings. 

This course is offered on campus, in person, and sessions run for 50 minutes.

This workshop focuses on the language and skills for communicating with other students from diverse cultural backgrounds in an Australian university setting. It aims to help students become more comfortable initiating conversations in order to build relationships across the university community.

The subtopics covered include:

• small talk

• conversation starters

• finding common ground

• communicating with non-verbal gestures

• Australian English

• support services and opportunities to connect with others at Adelaide University
