ACE for Communication Success: Communicate in a Group

ACE for Communication Success is free to all Adelaide University students by coursework seeking to practise communicating in English in different academic settings. 

The course is offered on campus, in person, and sessions run for 50 minutes.

This workshop aims to equip students with the necessary tools to work successfully in group settings, and on group assignments.

It includes:

• understanding the importance of teamwork

• strategies for effective collaboration and communication within groups

• techniques for recognising potential issues in group work 

• methods for addressing and resolving conflict promptly 

• key phrases to facilitate leadership within groups 

• encouraging participation and maintaining group cohesion

• resources and support available for group work 

• guidance on seeking help and improving group dynamics

*All ACE workshops include interactive tasks to practise the focus skills.
