ACE for Communication Success: Communicate with Purpose

ACE for Communication Success is free to all Adelaide University students by coursework seeking to practise communicating in English in different academic settings. 

The course is offered on campus, in person, and sessions run for 50 minutes.

This workshop focuses on developing questioning skills, which are important in many different academic contexts. It aims to equip students with the confidence and knowledge to ask questions at university to enhance engagement and learning outcomes.

It covers:

• the importance of asking questions at university

• the benefits of asking questions for developing key graduate attributes

• identifying question types 

• asking questions for different purposes 

• questioning skills and tips

• group task: asking questions
