ACE for Coursework Success: Group Work

ACE for Coursework Success is free to all Adelaide University students by coursework seeking to practise academic skills and strategies to help improve their comprehension and succeed in assignments.

This workshop focuses on group work dynamics and effective collaboration skills. It aims to equip students with the necessary tools and language to work successfully in group settings, including group assignments, common components of university courses.

It covers:

• understanding the importance of teamwork

• strategies for effective collaboration and communication within groups

• techniques for recognising potential issues in group work 

• methods for addressing and resolving conflicts promptly 

• key phrases to facilitate leadership within groups 

• language and techniques for encouraging participation and maintaining group cohesion 

• interactive tasks to apply group work skills 

• resources and support available for group work

• guidance on seeking help and improving group dynamics
