ACE for Coursework Success: Lectures and Listening

ACE for Coursework Success is free to all Adelaide University students by coursework seeking to practise academic skills and strategies to help improve their comprehension and succeed in assignments.

This workshop focuses on techniques to enhance listening comprehension and note-taking in lectures.

It covers:

• predicting and previewing content to prepare for lectures

• strategies to improve comprehension during lectures

• tips for efficient notetaking using symbols and abbreviations

• listening practise tasks to help you to apply the skills covered

• tips you can take with you into future lectures

*All ACE workshops include interactive activities to practise the focus skills.
