ACE for Coursework Success: Paraphrasing & Cohesion

ACE for Coursework Success is free to all Adelaide University students by coursework seeking to practise academic skills and strategies to help improve their comprehension and succeed in assignments.

This workshop focuses on paraphrasing and cohesive devices, which are crucial for success in university assignments.

With a focus on developing writing skills, including grammatical accuracy and punctuation, it covers: 

• defining paraphrasing and understanding why it is important

• the steps to paraphrasing and techniques for paraphrasing

• referencing paraphrased information: author prominent and information prominent in-text citations

• cohesive devices: grammatical and logical linking words and phrases

 *All ACE workshops include interactive tasks to practise the focus skills.
