Introduction to Linux Course

This five-week course, running one day a week, is designed for people who want to build their confidence using technology and take their computer skills to the next level. Linux is a free and reliable operating system used all over the world, and this course will introduce you to the Linux desktop environment, show you how Linux differs from Windows and MacOS, and give you the confidence to make it your own -- including a first look at the terminal, Linux's powerful text-based interface.

FREE for people who are:

18 years old and above and currently not enrolled at school
A South Australian resident or hold a valid work or study visa
Comfortable using a mouse and keyboard, opening and closing applications, and saving and finding files on a computer

If you have a laptop, please bring it along — it will need to be capable of running a virtual machine (at least 8GB RAM). Laptops are available to borrow during class if you don't have a suitable device.
