Join devoted food advocate and chef Tawnya Bahr on an engaging behind the scenes tour of Northside Produce market. Meet the producers, listen to their stories and be inspired. Understand how they grow, rear, bake and make their goods. By the end of the tour, you will walk away with a true appreciation of seasonal produce and a few ideas on what to put on your shopping list!

Bookings are essential. Due to limited numbers, preference is given to those who are new to this experience.

This in-depth tour is offered free of charge courtesy of North Sydney Council.


Tutor: Tawnya Bahr

Tawnya Bahr, chef and locavore, is a passionate promoter of small producers. With her experience of cooking with seasonal ingredients, Tawnya has specially created this behind-the-scenes tour of Northside Produce Market. Her goal is to educate food lovers of all ages by sharing her knowledge and providing opportunities for the farmers, growers and producers to give a real insight to the skill and hard-work that goes into creating the food we as consumers eat. Tawnya is a restaurant reviewer and culinary judge. She’s also a member, supporter and ambassador for the Dish Cookbook, The Big Feed, Week of Tastes, Australian Culinary Federation, Le Cordon Bleu, Savour Restaurant and Catering and the Royal Agricultural Society.
