Achieving Education Equity Gathering

Skip the keynotes. This is a hands-on day of learning and action shaped by the expertise in the room.

Hosted by EEA's The Collective and co-led by its intergenerational Leadership Council, The Gathering brings together low-SES schools and organisations committed to progressing education equity.

The Gathering will focus on three priority areas for improved equity that The Collective has been pursuing over the past 12 months. This is your chance to add your voice, shape next steps, and take practical insights back to your community.

The three priority areas:

1. A shared, practical vision of education equity - Workshop the current challenges, future vision and the key transition actions needed across the system.

2. Better coordination of supports for low-SES schools - Map what's working now, understand partnership gaps and plan for strong collaboration across the sector.

3. Strengthening student-teacher relationships - A student- and teacher-led session exploring the conditions shaping these relationships, and what must change to keep them at the centre of our work.

You'll leave with:

• Renewed purpose

• New connections across the sector

• Clear actions for your school/organisation

• Confidence that your voice contributes to what comes next for systemic action for improved equity

Ticket information:

To ensure educators and young people from low-SES settings are at the centre of the conversation, tickets are free for these attendees.

In order to facilitate this, we are asking that nonprofits, corporates, universities, and government make a financial contribution through a paid registration. For those nonprofits for who cost is a barrier, we have made available a limited quantity of subsidised tickets — please submit an EOI by clicking on 'Get Tickets' and selecting the 'Subsidised Nonprofit (Expression of Interest)' option.
