Achieving Paris: The En-ROADS Interactive global climate policy simulator
Event description
The Paris Agreement means the world is trying to limit the impacts of global climate change to between 1.5 to 2.0 degrees C in the next 80 years. How are we going to do that?
In this session we will explore this using En-ROADS, a global climate simulator that allows users to explore the impact of roughly 30 policies. Things like electrifying transport, pricing carbon, incentivising or disincentivising different types of energy generation, and improving agricultural practices.
This is a public and interactive workshop session where participants will work together to build a scenario made up of policies to meet the 1.5 to 2.0 degrees C target. Come along and test whether the actions you want or you see promoted will be effective?!
