Description

How can researchers ensure that their work makes a meaningful impact beyond academia?

HDR candidates and early-career researchers are invited to a special conversation with Dr Pep Canadell, Chief Research Scientist at CSIRO and Executive Director of the Global Carbon Project. Pep is an internationally recognised climate scientist whose research has contributed extensively to scientific assessments, public policy and global action on climate change.

Drawing on his experience working with governments, international organisations, businesses, the media and the wider community, Pep will discuss how researchers can communicate their work effectively, build productive collaborations and translate research into real-world impact.

This HDR- and ECR-focused conversation complements the CSS Distinguished Speaker event featuring Pep Canadell on 1 September.

Dr Pep Canadell's biography from the CSIRO website.

Light snacks will be available at 11:30am before the event starts.
