Why
In this moment of resistance, the ACLU of Hawai‘i (“ACLU-HI”) intends to create a space for joy, sharing with our community how ACLU-HI has advanced civil rights over the past 60 years and with this history, continues to do so today, despite numerous political adversities. We plan to host this commemoration through a "People's Fair."
Because democracy is not a spectator sport, we aim to bring together prominent elected officials, community organizers, and academics for lively discussions on civil rights issues facing our community today. We will also have continuous entertainment, activities for children, and featuring of local artists throughout the day.
If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to salcubilla@acluhawaii.org.
