Standardizing In-Field Manufacture of Composite Repairs to Steel Structures
Event description
Join us at the launch event of our second Australian Composites Manufacturing CRC funded project 'Standardizing In-Field Manufacture of Composite Repairs to Steel Structures' a collaboration between University of Western Australia, University of Queensland and FUZE Solutions. Our inaugural project/launched in 2023, aimed to revolutionise the understanding and application of in field composite repairs with the use of Structural Health Monitoring, providing promising solutions to enhance the integrity and longevity of composite repairs to steel infrastructure in the Oil and Gas industry. Our second project aims to extend the uptake of these cutting edge repairs by standardizing the methodologies of Composite Repair to Offshore Structures that will enable wider industry acceptance and adoption.
During this event, you will have the opportunity to hear from key stakeholders involved in the project, including researchers and industry experts and network with organisations facing similar maintenance challenges. There will be several informative project relevant displays and demonstrations on show during the afternoon.
Additionally, attendees will have the chance to tour our neighbouring infrastructure facilities to witness first-hand the advanced equipment and methodologies that industry partners collaborating with UWA can access.
