Acorn Processing Workshop

This event is free.  RSVP is required.  You can enter any amount for your "ticket" or simply give a donation via checkout.

Transform the acorns we gathered and stored together into nutritious, culturally relevant, acorn flour and acorn meal, using traditional Indigenous techniques blended with modern innovation. The food we produce will be used in our Culinary Series, and distributed to local Indigenous Organizations and the Muwekma Ohlone Tribe of the San Francisco Bay Area.

- Begins March 2025

- Assist in the production of nutritious, culturally relevant food for local Indigenous communities

- Learn about Traditional and Contemporary Methods of Acorn Processing

- Learn about Food Science through hands-on experience and observations

- Help Decolonize the Indigenous Bay by Reopening Indigenous Foodways and Re-Establishing Indigenous Food Sovereignty as a Community
