Description
Acorn Processing Workshop
This is where you can ask all the questions you want about acorn processing.
Leaching is the lynchpin of the entire flow.
Knowing how to remove the tannins from acorns is essential to cooking with acorns at home.
You will learn three methods for acorn leaching that you can do in your own kitchen.
At the conclusion of the session, acorn mush will be cooked and available for tasting, alongside a small assortment of additions.
This is a unique opportunity to learn and contribute to California Indigenous food sovereignty.
Proceeds from ticket sales will support local food sovereignty.
There are several restaurants, food trucks, a wine bar, and a pub on-site. Feel free to choose one of many options, and bring your goodies back to relax, learn, and enjoy an evening together.
