Have you ever considered that your acroyoga practice can be something that you can gift to people?

Not just as a fun, physical, active playtime, but also as a juicy, nourishing, supportive offering that leaves your receiver feeling relaxed, decompressed (literally) and stretched in new ways.

Join us for this special, 3-hour workshop to learn a simple therapeutic acroyoga flow that you can offer to anyone who is willing to receive.

Considered the ‘Yin’ of Acroyoga or, as it is more commonly known, the ‘Lunar’ half of your acroyoga practice is therapeutic and relaxing for the flyer while requiring stability and a level of endurance from the base. In this approach, the base leads the movements completely and the flyer is a passive receiver. In the realm of bodywork, acroyoga therapeutics offers a very unique opportunity as your receiver is literally suspended above you and as a giver you can use gravity to help stretch and release your receiver's body in ways you wouldn’t normally be able to. It is particularly potent for exploring all variations of spinal flexion with ease.

To get the most out of this workshop, you need to be able to comfortably base someone of your own size in bird for at least two minutes. Familiarity with some type of bodywork/massage would also be helpful, but not essential. (Please reach out if you have any questions or doubts about this.)

About your teacher:
Gabriella is the Sunshine Coast’s most prolific acroyoga teacher with many years acroyoga teaching experience, body work experience as a massage therapist, and 15 years facilitating experience across multiple modalities. You will also be supported by teacher's assistants, or, as we call them, 'Acro Fairies'!

Please wear form fitting clothing (as you would for a yoga class) as loose flowing clothing is a safety hazard.
