Acrylic 101: Introduction to Acrylic Painting

This two-part workshop will be held over two separate 3-hr sessions:
Session 1: Friday 17 May, 9.30 – 12.30pm
Session 2: Friday 31 May, 9.30 – 12.30pm
Join Northern Beaches artist Judy Salleh and discover the joy of acrylic painting in these two immersive half-day workshops for beginners.
Through lively demonstrations, Judy will share tips on different brushes, palettes, surfaces, and other necessary tools for acrylic painting. You will receive guidance on brushwork, colour mixing, and composition along with fundamental acrylic painting techniques such as blending, and layering to create a simple composition. This two-part workshop is a great opportunity to discover the fun of acrylic painting if you have always wanted to try this flexible medium.
All materials will be provided.
Please bring your own refreshments, apron and old cloth.
Judy Salleh specialises in watercolour and acrylic painting and is an experienced workshop tutor. She never goes anywhere without her sketchbook and paints!
The workshops will be held in the light-filled Avalon Creative Space.
