Acrylic Pouring with Barbara Etter
An enjoyable and addictive art form which is colourful, dynamic and mesmerising.
Saturday 14th August
10am - 2pm
$72 / $63 (includes take home materials worth $35)
Join us for a truly artistic and creative process of pouring paint to make a unique artwork. Barbara will firstly explain the theory and science and then demonstrate the use of pouring mediums and silicone oil to create special effects, including “cells”. Try out a dirty pour and a swipe!
Next up is your turn to create a masterpiece! Everything so will be provided including paint, canvases, sticks, cups, pouring medium, trays.
WHAT YOU'LL GET
- 2 pieces of your own art on canvas (20 x 25 cm)
- Acrylic “skins” that can be used for mixed media, jewellery and more!
- Basic equipment so you can continue pouring at home
- Recipes for pouring
- Guidance on colour theory
- Advice on useful resources and Go To points
- Advice on how to finalise your piece of art – drying times, signing, varnish/resin etc.
- Discussion on the different products available
WHAT TO BRING
- Notebook and pen
- An apron, or clothes that you don't mind getting paint on

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR
Barbara is a local artist and teacher specialising in acrylics, pastels, scratchboard and acrylic pouring. She has a special passion for portraits, both animals and people, and is also creating original acrylic-pour snap-button jewellery.
Barbara has taught at The Colour Circle and the Art Society of Tasmania covering various topics and mediums.
