Event description

Round Eleven of the ACT Community Garden Grants Program is now open for applications. This program is designed to support the delivery of community gardens across Canberra that enhance community places and spaces. Community gardens help provide opportunities for people to grow and consume locally produced food, for social interaction, physical activity, to promote cultural diversity and connect with nature.

$40,000 is available in Round Eleven for small scale food production gardens (5-10 plots), enhancements to existing food gardens (such as improved production, improved safety, increased utilisation of the space, infrastructure to improve garden resilience to the impacts of climate change), and non-food related gardens such as sensory, native, pollination and inclusive meeting places. A minimum of $2000 with a maximum of $10,000 are available per application.

The first half of the session (~20 minutes) will provide a brief overview of the program objectives and priorities, eligibility requirements and past recipient projects. The second half of the session (~20 minutes) will cover tips on how to make your application competitive and how they are assessed will be discussed. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions about the program (or their application) with the remaining time after the presentation.

If you are having difficulties registering, please contact EPSDDCommunityGrants@act.gov.au
