About us
ACT Wildlife is a registered charity that rescues, rehabilitates and releases sick, injured, displaced and orphaned wildlife in the ACT. We are a volunteer organisation with a 24/7 hotline to report injured wildlife or provide advice to the members of the public. Last year ACT Wildlife answered 11,290 calls for help and took 2,820 of our precious animals into care. Animals such as orphaned wombat joeys are in care for up to 18 months. Caring is a full-time commitment, and all our carers are volunteers.
