This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

This workshop examines how an Action Research approach can be used to quickly produce insights in dynamic/complex contexts such as medical care.

  • A brief overview of how the Action Research approach selects and orders specific research techniques to maximise progress.
  • A case study of an on-going pilot study at Fiona Stanley Hospital, to produce better outcomes for staff and patients in critical care contexts. Medical practitioners from Fiona Stanley Hospital, and the Innovation Team from the South Metropolitan Health Service, will present the trial of a Voice to Text system for clinical documentation.
  • Try it yourself. In groups of 3-5, work with a medical practitioner to draw out more questions and insights, and possible pathways for further exploration.

This workshop is limited to 50 participants.

This workshop venue and refreshments has been kindly provided by the Design team at the Royal Automotive Club, in their new RAC CoLAB and Exhibition facility at the RAC building in West Perth. This will be the first time this new facility has been used for an event of this size.

RAC are also providing free, secure parking at the venue for attendees. We will provide your name to RAC before the event, to facilitate entry/exit to the parking space.

Additionally, RAC would like to record some video and still pictures of the event for social media. If you would prefer not to be photographed, let us know as you arrive at the event, and we will let the photographer know!
