Action Research Symposium at UTS
Event description
UTS is hosting a renowned action researcher Professor Mary Brydon-Miller from the University of Louisville as a Fulbright Scholar until late September. We thought it will be good to make connections between researchers who are engaged in action research or similar approaches in UTS while Mary is here.
This symposium is being organized to bring together researchers from across the university who are currently involved in, or would like to know more about, action research. Our plan is to open the session by providing participants with an opportunity to get to know one another and share their interests and experiences with AR. We’ll then spend some time in small groups identifying areas of common interest and discussing potential collaborations. And, finally, we’ll come together to explore possible strategies for raising the profile of AR at UTS and creating on-going structures for supporting this work.
To facilitate getting to know one another and to bring together people with shared interests, we’d ask you to include a short description of your general research areas on the registration form. So, it will be good to prepare the following to copy and paste into a box set aside for you during the registration
- A short abstract of your current work using action research or similar approaches (max 250 words)
- Keywords that cover your research (Maximum 3)
- Questions or concerns you would want to be addressed when we meet (maximum 3)
Thanks, and we’ll look forward to seeing many of you for this event.
