Event description
Find out about how we improving Active Transport linkages can make Bayside streets safer and improve health, wellbeing and connection to nature and cultural heritage.
Join Peaceful Bayside Ward 4 lead candidate Dom Galvin and Ward 3 lead candidate Janin Bredehoeft at Kingsgrove Railway Station at 10:00am.
The Bike Tour will go to sites near Bexley Creek, Bexley Aquatic Centre, Bardwell Valley Parklands where Active Transport pathways can easily be improved, and ride across Ward 3, learning about ways to make residential streets safer for riders, walkers and children, then to historic landmarks in Ward 2 and meet up with the Walking Tour at Tempe House, led by Ward 2 candidates David Levinson, Professor of Transport Engineering at Sydney University and lead candidate Carolin Wenzel,  to learn about safer crossing options for the Princes Highway.Â
We will finish with late brunch at Kal's cafe in Cahill Park
