Activate is moving into a new chapter.
15 years ago this community was started, with a vision of bringing people of faith together, to model their lives on Jesus and to join with God in the renewal of all things. Over the last decade and a half, this eclectic group of people have worked together to bring this into reality.
Our Sunday morning gatherings have been fundamental to how our community has grown in love and capacity. As we have sung together, prayed together, and deconstructed and reconstructed our theology together, we have created a community that has truly lived up to our commitment to renewal.
As this community has grown and changed, it has become clear that weekly gatherings are no longer sustainable in our current phase. As such, we are transitioning to monthly afternoon gatherings.
This Sunday, the 28th of April, will be our last weekly gathering at My Lover Cindi. If you have ever wanted to go to church in a gay bar, now is your chance. Join us to celebrate 15 years of worshipping and bringing about renewal together, and to look forward to a different but wonderful future.
After the gathering we will head to the Seven Stars Hotel for a shared lunch. Platters will be provided, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. Please come prepared to buy your own drinks.
